Our History

Hansen & Adkins was founded in 1994 in Signal Hill, California, by Steve Hansen and Louie Adkins, both veterans of the auto transport industry. Starting with a small fleet, the company focused on reliable, high-quality vehicle transport for manufacturers, dealerships, and rental agencies. Over the years, Hansen & Adkins expanded across the U.S., earning a reputation for customer service and safety. In 2013, it entered the Canadian market by acquiring a majority stake in MCL McGill Carriers, completing full acquisition in 2018. MCL grew from 25 to over 200 trucks, serving nearly all of Canada. The company now offers a range of services including used vehicle, fleet, and rental car transport, along with storage facilities. Embracing technology, Hansen & Adkins uses advanced tracking and logistics systems to maintain its commitment to safe, efficient service and continued growth.
